I understand what you’re going through, but I’ve hopefully got good news for you. The chances that some sperm successfully entered your vagina and made its way to fertilize an egg are very slim. Admittedly, there have been some odd cases claimed out in “folklore”, like the mom who insists her young daughter got pregnant while swimming in a pool from some wandering sperm, but, typically, the guy would need to make sure he was well within your vagina (and that it was during the time that your egg was waiting to be fertilized) for you to become pregnant.
If you are super worried, you can wait two weeks and then swing by Walmart or the Dollar Tree and pick up an inexpensive home pregnancy test (HPT). They are simple to use (just require a drop or so of urine) and fairly accurate. You can do this at home in your bathroom in private and nobody will ever need to know. Since you don’t keep track of your periods, you’ll need to take an HPT in 2 weeks from now and then another one again 3 weeks following. If both are negative, you should be scott free.
A urine based home pregnancy test typically can detect the presence of the pregnancy hormone beginning around the time that your period would take place. If you wait a week or two following that period, and you are pregnant, the amount of the hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin hormone or the “pregnancy hormone”) will continue to increase, making a positive reading blatantly obvious; if you aren’t pregnant, by that point in time, a negative reading will assure you of that.

I’m 14 years old. I got my period in the 3rd grade. I had boobs in the 1st grade. I developed very early. I had sex with my boyfriend on a friday and its a sunday today. We had sex a lotttt. at one point, he ran out of condoms. we had sex without a condom for a couple seconds. We did regular sex and anal sex. I don’t remember if we did anal sex without a condom though. But I had his penis in my mouth at various points also. He reused condoms when we had sex too. But i think that’s alright? Anyway, its the 31st and im supposed to be getting my period at the end of the month. Yesterday night, i found a tiny bit of blood in my underwear and on a little piece of toliet paper when i wiped after using the bathroom. i haven’t showed any signs of my period since. ive had my period for about 6 years now and i dont think ive ever skipped a period, had a period come late, or anything like that. it’s a normal and regular cycle. am i pregnant?
Just clarifying – you had sex on the 28th of May and you should be getting your period around May 31st/June 1st or so? Do you have sex frequently?
Having sex so close to the time that your period begins would give you minimal chance of becoming pregnant (usually you are most fertile around the time of ovulation, though sperm can stay active within your body for several days, so we say that (if you want to get pregnant) the best time to have sex is several days before ovulation (since sperm can live within your cervix for several days) up through the day after ovulation (since your egg only has an unfertilized/unimplanted lifespam of 1 day). Girls will typically ovulate around the 14th day or so of their monthly cycle, but some can ovulate around day 10 or even day 20 if their cycle is really irregular. So, assuming you had sex on May 28 and your period should start the end of May, the odds are slim that you could get pregnant then.
Keep in mind that stress (i.e. worrying that you might be pregnant) can play a role in causing your normal period to be delayed. As far as reusing condoms, that’s not really something you’ll want to do as it increases the likelihood of getting sperm on the outside of the condom (and inside you).
To minimize your worries, take a home pregnancy test in a week and, if that one reads negative, take a second one after another week.

when i had just turned 16 in october there i found out i was pregnant and then at 10 weeks the doc said i’d miscarried but now i think im pregnant again.

hey so, i had sex from march 20th to he morning of march 25h. I got my period the afternoon of march 25th. However, in those four days me and my ex bf had sex over 10 times, and my period was only 3 days long instead of 5-6 and it was not as heavy as usual. we didn’t use a condom at all and im not on birth control! I only just found out that u can still get your period if you have sex so close to your period date..lately ive been feeling nauseus but it comes and goes through out the day, ive been eating a lottt!!!! im peeing alot too, ive been really moody lately as well. also, for the past week ive been getting really tired randomly. I just had my period on the 23rd of May and I had sex with my boyfriend on the 24th without a condom for a few seconds, I’m positive he didn’t ejaculate, but there’s always the possibility of pre-cum I’m not sure if I’m pregnant but I’m assuming because I was on my period that day and we only did it for a few seconds I should be okay? I’ve heard that you’re less likely to get pregnant if you’re on your period. Is this true?

You’re definitely less likely to get pregnant during your period. While it has happened in some instances, the probability is very small. Even if it wasn’t your period and he didn’t ejaculate, it’s very rare to get pregnant from pre-cum. Pre-cum really is a blown up issue people try to scare us with; the amount of sperm in pre-cum is minute. You should be fine, Kaelyn. I wouldn’t worry if I was you.

Hmmm … you’ve got me. Have you had much cramping in the past when you’ve had your periods or in between periods? Could you describe what the cramping is like, how frequently you have it, where you feel it, and how long you feel it before it goes away? Were these 2 incidents your first times ever having sex? My guess is that you are not pregnant, but there may be something else going on. I would definitely recommend you try to see a doctor.

i just had sex tonight , he used a condom, im 13, but im still scared… if my parents found out, they would kill me! so i dont know what to do! and i dont want to tell them! is there any ways i can find out, if i get a pregnancy test is there a certian age u have to be???? wont it be akward though? an if i find outnim pregnant, im going to kill myself my parents would be so disapointed! i need help ! please!!!

You can pick up a pregnancy test from the Dollar Tree for a buck, and you can be any age to do that. Walmart, CVS, Rite Aid and other places like them would also have them. If the condom kept all the semen inside it (i.e. it didn’t break and you didn’t notice any semen spilling out), you’re probably fine. When did your last period end? If/when you do take the pregnancy test, be sure to take it when your next period should have come. You’ll want to take it first thing in the morning then with your concentrated urine. Be sure to read the directions on the package carefully. If you take the pregnancy test too soon, it won’t be able to be accurate. If you have any questions, just let me know.
