Alice, age 20, writes: So, I think I might be pregnant. I’ve been having irregular periods recently because of a cyst found on my right ovary and I haven’t been quite sure of my cycles. Anywho, My husband and I had unprotected sex on June 5 or 6th and then on June 7th I was experiencing heavy cramping on my right side. I just assumed it was my cyst, but now I’m starting to think I ovulated.
On June 20-24 I had spotting, the 23-24 was more super light pink and very light. I’m experiencing nausea and vomiting, hot flashes, odd sensations and cramping in my lower abdomen (lasting longer than pms), mood swings, bloating and small weight gain, tired all day, and my breasts feel heavy and sore. I took a dollar store HPT about 4 days ago, neg. Am I pregnant? or is this just my cyst? It’s driving me crazy!
It would appear that you were not pregnant, though it’s hard to tell what might be causing all the symptoms. Do you know when your last period was (though I understand you’ve been irregular)? If the cramping keeps up, I would definitely recommend you see a physician. Quite possibly, some (but not all) of the symptoms are related to the cyst.
