First Time Sex, No Protection, Now Where’s My Period?

on the 10th of december for the first time ever i had sex, there was no protection used but it really did not go for long at all, he definitely did not cum and instead we just stopped. my period has always been really irregular and impossible to track but i’ve done my best and i think it may be up to 12 days late (it is now the 26th of december).

last week on tuesday the 20th i thought that i had finally gotten my period but instead it was just reddish/brown blood that was very light and lasted only 3 days. i do not think this was my period because it was so light and my period is usually heavy and lasts for 4-5 days. i’ve done so much research that i’m scared its something like the ‘implantation blood’??? i don’t know what to do and i will take a test but then i’m scared it’s a waste of time due to the fact that my period has sometimes came a whole month late.

i think because it’s my first time and i didn’t use protection i feel scared. i already know it was stupid but it happened just in the moment. i hope you can tell me i’m not pregnant but i know only the doctor can assure me. i just needed somewhere to vent! thank you

It doesn’t sound like you’re pregnant, though you should still take a home pregnancy test to get rid of any worries. Probably the most you’d be dealing with is a little pre-ejaculation fluid, but the odds of getting pregnant from that are very slim. Since it was your first time having sex, it’s not abnormal to have your period messed up. Personally, I’m inclined to believe the 3 day bleeding which started on the 20th was your December period. Even though it was different than your normal, that difference was most likely caused by having sex for your first time plus your nerves. The best thing for you right now would be to relax and stop stressing out about being pregnant, because I believe you are not. And don’t forget to take a home pregnancy test just as the clincher! And, next time, be sure he wears a condom. You don’t want to go through all this again.
