I have had one miscarriage and after that I thought I couldn’t have any kids anymore. Me and my bf have been trying for a while. But now I feel cramps on my side and near my abdominal area. Sometimes I get headaches. I haven’t thrown up though. I have problems with my back and took a test but it came out negative. I haven’t had my period for about 2 months now. I also am confused because I wake up looking skinny but during later in the day i look bigger. My stomach changes every now and then. It confuses me. Can u help?

Dear Victoria,
Thank you for submitting your question. Have you talked with your personal medical provider about your concerns & symptoms? I would make that a high priority on my to do list, if I were you.
Having one miscarriage, or spontaneous, natural abortion, does not necessarily rule out your ability to have any more kids. Many women have several miscarriages yet are later able to successfully become pregnant and deliver a healthy child. If you have had a previous miscarriage and are attempting to become pregnant, then you definitely want to meet with your OB/GYN doctor and seek their advice. In some cases, something more serious may be causing miscarriages, so you want to rule out anything like that.
You mentioned abdominal cramps, headaches and back problems. All of those symptoms are easily caused by other factors. Again, it’s best to share your symptoms with your health provider just to be on the safe side. Regarding your belly being skinny or looking larger, this could be just caused by bloating or normal size variations which take place in every person’s belly throughout the day (based on the amount of liquid/solids within it).
The fact that you haven’t had your period in 2 months can be a concern. This could be caused by a poor diet or a diet lacking in certain essential nutrients. It can also be caused by a variety of other factors including great stress, a change in your exercise regimen, sickness, and certain medications. Again, I strongly recommend you schedule an appointment soon with your physician just to make sure. Yes, there is a chance that you could be pregnant, but my guess is that you are not. I have been known to be wrong, though.
Best of luck,
Hannah

I have had a misscarriage back in October 29th 2007 and have not yet gotten my period. I have had blood work, pap test and ultra sound done but no one knows why I have not had my period. I was on Birth Control for 9 years without a break and I was wondering if you had any suggestions as to what might be going on with me. In addition, can I still become pregnant even thou I have not had a period since October 07 any info that you can suggest so that I can mention it to my doctor would be greatly appericated.

I had a miscarraige back in July/August of 2008. I went the month of September with out a period and then in the beginning of October I got my period back. It’s the end of November now and I haven’t gotten my period again. I am not pregnant, but I am still worried and confused as to what could be going on. My doctor had told me I would be irregular for a while after the miscarraige happened, but that doesn’t make it any less worrisome.. I am going to the doctor on Tuesday and am hoping to find some answers. My mother thinks I could have diabetes and that could be messing with me. The doctor had similar beliefs when I first had the miscarraige. I don’t know what to think. I do know I’ve been cramping for the past month and having terrible migraines for the past week and I was sick for a while at the beginning of the month with the flu.

Hi, my name is Dorothy Houston. I am 18 years old and I’m sorta in the same situation.
My last period was October 18th, 2009.
I did your Pregnancy Calendar and with that information put in ( a 28 day cycle thingy ) it said that likely conception date would be November 1st, 2009.
Which is the day we had sex unprotected.
They said that the end of Trimester 1 would be Jan. 10th, 1010.
End of Trimester 2 would be April 25, 2010.
Due Date would be July 25th, 2010.
Now, I have had very tender nipples, a change of color in my nipples, just slightly though.
My boyfriend says that my boobs seem to have gotten a bit heavier.
I am always complaining of slight headaches or upset tummies.
My underwear is getting smaller on me and I’m hungry, but I feel sick when I eat.
Then I am just so hungry, I can’t stop eating.
Not normal for me, btw.
I have minor breakouts, extra vaginal discharge.
My period is 3 and a half days late. ( which isnt normal at allll always cramps two days before and BAM it’s there )
Cramping, a week before and no blood.
Tempterature keeps falling and rising.
I have trouble sleeping at night.
I can’t sleep on my tummy.
I get weird cramping in my abdomen.
Etc.
Can you help?

hi TEsha to your post i think you should know the birth control can be the cause for you not being able to conceive for the fact that your body is so immune to birth control that it doesnt know any better. That happened to me but i only used birth control for 2 years and i decided to stop using them then i was getting my self on a diet with Ali and 2 months later i found out i was pregnant. hope this helps u

I have always had a very regular period and last month I had a miscarriage. This month I am 2 days late for my very regular period. Is it normal to miss your period after a miscarriage?
