How long have you been taking the daily birth control pill? Do you know what brand you are taking? Did you skip a day’s pill over the past month? Did you skip a pill several times over the past month?

I’ve been taking the birth control pill since November and have never missed a day. I think it’s called Microgynon30, it’s where i take it for 3 weeks and then have a week off.
You should be good to go then, Angel. I wouldn’t worry about being pregnant if I were you. There is also no need to double up on a dose of the pill. When you take birth control pills regularly (i.e. each day), what they do is tell your body to put ovulation on pause. When you have a week off, your body still doesn’t ovulate, but you do experience bleeding due to the extra hormone dosage being stopped (everyone says they’re getting their periods but they really aren’t getting their periods when on birth control – they are just experiencing hormone withdrawal bleeding).
Now, since you did take a double dose of the birth control pill, you may experience some odd symptoms due to the extra artificial hormones (tender nipples, spotting, etc.) But they will go away (if they haven’t already).

Read the insert that came with your pills. Missing one peorid is not something to be concerned about, but it does say to let your doctor know about it. If you miss a second peorid, take a pregnancy test and see your doctor.

i am 27 and have a son of 31 Months ..i am using ths Saheli Pill since last month and my cycle is of like 24 days becasue i get my periods 6 days before the LMP…every month….and now i should have got my periods by 28th Feb…based on teh calculations…but still nothing and as well the pregnancy test i took at home on the 28th feb is negative..but i am getting some symptoms like bad headache, lower back pain, cant control my hunger, pain in the right and left side of the uterus..and some sor of acidity like ….

SHE is 18 years old. HE is 23. That would definitely NOT make HER a child molester. Please take your hate speech elsewhere. I highly doubt that a woman would be stoned to death in Colombia for being a 16 year-old dating a 21 year-old, even if that were the case. Especially since the age of sexual consent in Colombia is 14.
@Cindy, having a child is a life-long commitment. Deciding to have a “baby out of the blue” is not a wise decision. I am not trying to say that you shouldn’t have a child, but you should really do some research, budgeting, planning. Go see your OBGYN and talk to her about any lifestyle changes you need to make before conceiving. Do some research on the actual costs of raising a child. Also, make sure that you are truly mature enough for this major decision! You have far greater things to be concerned about than a negative pregnancy test. If you are indeed pregnant, read as much as you can, make a doctor’s appointment, and find a mother who can walk you through this whole process. Best of luck, and warm wishes.

I’m worried, too. I have been on birth control pills for about 5 months now. The last month or so, I’ve been slacking off quite a bit. I missed three pills, then took one, and had sex that day, about a week or so ago, unprotected. Then missed about 5 pills, and had sex this past Saturday again unprotected. I just started the pill reclipsen 11 days ago. I’m 15 and on the 10th day of taking reclipsen my boyfriend and I had sex and he came in me. Was 10 days too early and I put lotion on my vagina, does that increase the risk of pregnancy?
