I have a doctors appointment tomorrow, but I know she will just do a Urine test and it will come back negative. When is the right time to do a HPT?? But where I have irregular periods it’s hard to tell when i ovualte. plz help”
Thanks for sharing with us your question! A urine based home pregnancy test, which detects the amount of hCG in your urine, won’t be able to give you accurate results until at least 10 days after fertilization and at least 2 days after implantation of the fertilized egg. hCG is the human chorionic gonadotropin hormone, also referred to as the pregnancy hormone. Typically, it’s recommended to wait until the time of your next period (following when you had intercourse) to take your first home pregnancy test. If the results are negative, wait until a few days after your period would have normally ended and then take another HPT.
If the results continue to be negative, wait two more weeks and take a third urine pregnancy test. By this time, if indeed you did become pregnant, the hCG level would be definitely great enough to give you a positive on any urine based test you took; and, in the event that one of the early HPTs was faulty, you’d know for sure by now (unless you bought all your HPTs from the same store and that particular batch was bad – but this would be rare).
Though you are experiencing sore nipples and haven’t had your period, my guess is that you aren’t pregnant since, as you said, your periods are irregular to begin with plus you’ve taken so many home pregnancy tests.
Hey,
I don’t think you’re pregnant, but, I may be wrong. One of my close friends knows a lot about this and she says you are probably not pregnant.
Hope this helped!
